Welcome to Workbench97

Hello, and welcome to Workbench97. A collection of photographs, videos and (hopefully) blog posts that record my progress across a range of railway-related hobbies. From small 00 gauge locomotive builds, to multiple layouts and even 5” gauge, I am to keep the website up to date with my latest antics.

As you will see, my real interest is learning and understanding new processes and materials, with lots of my models having a wide range of construction techniques: laser cut brass and wood, resin 3d printing and more traditional etched brass and plasticard. I tend to have a number of projects on the go as my interest takes me down new paths - so whilst I promise to update the website, I can’t promise it will be in any kind of logical order!

Not everything is on here yet, but I will carry on uploading past projects and progress on my new layout in the coming weeks and months. I look forward to writing the next blog post, but in the meantime, do reach out to me - I am always keen to answer questions or talk through techniques
